The Northern Lights begin to appear in the Inari and Hotel Korpikartano areas in the last week of August and can be seen until April 12, after which the nights are too bright to view the Northern Lights.

The Northern Lights are visible on average 200 days a year, depending on solar activity and weather. Hotel Korpikartano is a good place to view the Northern Lights, as there are no street lights or other bright light sources in the area, so there is no light pollution.

Our guides will give you the best tips for photographing the Northern Lights. A small hut offers warm shelter for the avid Northern Lights hunter while waiting for them.
