Kiasma
Kiasma is a museum of contemporary art located in the centre of Helsinki. Kiasma is part of the National Gallery of Finland. Kiasma's collection activities are part of the museum's national and international core activities, which include art acquisitions, productions, loans and deposits of artworks, as well as exhibition and publication activities in Finland and abroad. Kiasma presents, collects and promotes contemporary art. In addition to exhibitions, Kiasma also organises performances and events.
LuostarinmÀki Quarter Museum
The LuostarinmÀki Museum Quarter is an open-air museum located in the center of Turku, next to Vartiovuori. Administratively, the museum belongs to the Turku Museum Centre. As an open-air museum, it is an exceptionally valuable entity worldwide, as the buildings in the area are located in their original locations. The museum was previously known as the LuostarinmÀki Crafts Museum. In celebration of the museum's 80th anniversary, the museum's name and appearance were renewed in the summer of 2020.
Finnish Museum of Natural History Luomus
The Finnish Museum of Natural History Luomus is a separate research institute and natural history museum under the University of Helsinki. The museum preserves and maintains national collections of plants, fungi, zoology, geology and paleontology. The collections consist of specimens from all over the world. They serve research, information for the public and the university's own advanced teaching.
Urho Kekkonen Museum
Tamminiemi is the former official residence of the Presidents of the Republic of Finland in Meilahti, Helsinki. In 1987, it was converted into the Urho Kekkonen home museum, called the Urho Kekkonen Museum Tamminiemi. After Kekkonen's death, the Finnish Antiquities Authority was tasked with turning Tamminiemi into a home museum in the spring of 1987. The Urho Kekkonen Museum was opened in December 1987 by the President of the Republic, Mauno Koivisto.
Serlachius Museum Gösta
The Gösta Serlachius Museum is an art museum in MÀnttÀ-Vilppula, Finland, operated by the Gösta Serlachius Art Foundation and the older of the two Serlachius Museums. Gösta Serlachius had died in 1942, and his widow and estate wanted to display his collection in the Joenniemi Manor. The Gösta Serlachius Art Museum began operating in the lower halls of the old Joenniemi Manor in 1945. When it opened, the museum was the eighth art museum in Finland.
